a vaccine there is a national shortage of hepatitis a vaccines which is likely to last for several months. please do not try to book an appointment for this as we are unable to obtain supplies. saturday appointments our saturday morning clinic has been changed to a commuter clinic for those patients who are unable to attend during the working week. saturday appointments can be booked 2 weeks in advance with some being kept for booking on the day before at 12:00. ___________________________ medical certificates please remember that medical certifcates are only issued by your doctor after the first 7 days of sickness. the first 7 days are self certification and you should collect the form from your employer. a private medical certificate costs £14.50. ______________________________________________ help us to help you you may not need to see a doctor if you have pain when passing urine or blood in your urine. ask for a sample pot and a form at reception and a nurse will dip your urine for signs of infection. they will then decide on the best course of action which may be antibiotics or an appointment to see the doctor. ________________________________________________ emergency dental treatment doctors are no longer permitted to treat dental problems. if you feel that you require antibiotics you should contact your own dentist or the out of hours service by ringing 111 ____________________________________________ booking doctors appointments doctor appointments will now only be bookable 3 weeks in advance. this will hopefully cut down on the number of appointments wasted each month as often the appointments are booked then forgotten. nurse appointments will continue to be bookable 4 weeks in advance.
